President & CEO, Director Mr. Osterberg’s 25 years of mining industry experience includes small, mid-sized, and major mining companies, and mining engineering consulting firms. From 2012 through 2015, prior to his current position, he has served the past 4 years as Timberline’s VP of Exploration where he managed technical services of the Company including the successful advance of the company’s Talapoosa Project through a positive Preliminary Economic Assessment. In addition, he successfully directed the Butte Highlands Project to positive EIS and EA results staging the project to be one of the first newly permitted full-scale metal mines in Montana in over 25 years. Prior to joining Timberline, Mr. Osterberg developed an unusually diverse experience base working as a mining consultant at Tetra Tech and Knight Piesold, and as a Senior Geologist within the discovery group of BHP Minerals. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in geology from the University of Minnesota and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Chief Financial Officer Mr. Hardy has over 25 years of diverse finance and accounting experience for precious metals mining, exploration and manufacturing companies in both the public and private sectors. From August 2007 to January 2016, he served as Timberline’s Chief Financial Officer where he managed finance, accounting, and administrative functions of the Company, including equity and debt financings, two major acquisitions, dual listings on national exchanges in the United States and Canada, along with other market-related activities. Mr. Hardy has extensive experience raising capital, executing cross-border transactions, and managing securities and disclosure matters. Beginning in January 2016, Mr. Hardy performed the functions of Timberline’s Chief Financial Officer as an outside consultant before being re-appointed to the office in September 2016. Prior to joining Timberline, Mr. Hardy served in executive roles at HuntMountain Resources, a start-up gold exploration company; Sunshine Minting, Inc., a privately-held precious metals custom minting and manufacturing firm; and Sunshine Mining and Refining Company. Mr. Hardy earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree in finance from Boise State University and has attained certifications as a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Cash Manager.
