TALAPOOSA, NV PROJECT
Timberline geologists believe that the large Talapoosa epithermal system has additional gold and silver potential, both within and beyond the current resource area and merits additional exploration work. At Talapoosa, the resource remains open along strike to the southeast, and requires additional drilling at Dyke Adit and East Hill. In addition, a deeper target beneath the existing resource with potential for high-grade feeder zone mineralization amenable to underground mining remains untested.
In addition, recent exploration by Gunpoint Exploration geologists recognized extensive high-level manifestations of epithermal mineralization including sinters, siliceous sediments, and hydrothermal vent breccias along a 7 km length of the Appaloosa Structure target, located 2 km north and parallel to Talapoosa (Figure 4). To-date, evidence has been identified for only two historic, shallow vertical drill holes tests on the entire Appaloosa target.
To support exploration, Gunpoint completed a regional scale ground magnetic geophysical program in 2011 covering the Talapoosa and Appaloosa structures. (Figure 8). In follow-up, 29 line-km of time domain induced polarization data were collected over the structures by Zonge Geoscience Inc. Subsequent processing of the data sets has identified several high priority exploration targets which Timberline geologists believe hold excellent potential for additional gold and silver discovery.
