Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – January 15, 2016 – Timberline Resources Corporation (NYSE MKT: TLR; TSX-V: TBR) (“Timberline” or the “Company”) today announced that, as previously disclosed in its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended September 30, 2015, which was filed on December 29, 2015, the audited financial statements for the year ended September 30, 2015 included in the Form 10-K contained a going concern qualification paragraph in the audit opinion from its independent registered public accounting firm.

This announcement is made pursuant to NYSE MKT Company Guide Section 610(b), which requires separate disclosure of receipt of an audit opinion containing a going concern qualification.  This announcement does not represent any change or amendment to the Company’s consolidated financial statements or to its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2015.
